On Wednesday, 25/03/2015 a series of lectures on marketing for a hitherto unknown destination to the German audience: Egypt’s North Coast at the Mediterranean took place in the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Higazy, the Egyptian ambassador and Mr. Mohamed Gamal, the state tourism adviser to Egypt, welcomed guests from 19:30 clock.

Over 90 travel agents and tour operator staff attended in order to see presentations by speakers from Egypt and the managements of the famous companies Schmetterling, Destinat, GIATA and traffics.

The various facets of the north coast region have been explained by an expert presentation of the experienced tour leader Mohamed Gadallah. Touristic attractions of the JAZ hotels in the region were presented.

In the second half of the event, it was mainly about the connectivity of tourist products to the German distribution network as well as data preparation for this purpose. GIATA with Remzi Aru presented the company and put the possibilities how destinations can be connected.

The company Schmetterling showed that technical solutions are available to make hotels in new destinations bookable in the travel agency cooperation . The new innovation Heliview by the company traffics, who had filmed in Egypt a few months ago, showed great and vivid images of the North Coast.

Destinat provided an informative collection of documents as an info-packet about the North Coast, that everyone could take with them.
